P&O Cruises Australia is the region’s largest and longest-serving cruise operator, and leads the way in cruising as Australasia’s only ‘home brand’ and its favourite cruise line.

We have been sailing the region for more than 80 years, and have pioneered new destinations around Australia, the Pacific and Asia including Papua New Guinea, as reported in the New York Times’ 52 top destinations for 2015.

P&O Cruises is the nation’s largest cruise line with five ships cruising from eight home ports in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. In November 2015 Pacific Aria and Pacific Eden were added to the three-ship fleet and in 2017 P&O Cruises will welcome its latest ship – the Pacific Explorer. A new ship, the first purpose built ship for the Australian and New Zealand market, will be launched in 2019 and will be the biggest cruise ship ever to be based fulltime in Australia.

The continued evolution of P&O Cruises heralds a new era, as reflected in its new brand repositioning – P&O Cruises, Like no Place on Earth.

Today, cruising is one of the most popular and fastest growing sectors in tourism. According to the latest International Cruise Council Australasia statistics, the number of Australians taking cruise holidays increased by 20.4% in 2014 to reach 1,003,256 cruisers.

P&O Cruises’ passengers come from all over the world, with our ships offering something for everyone. In fact, almost 30 per cent of passengers are families, about 45 per cent are couples and over 20 per cent are friends travelling together.

Cruise lovers range from children to retirees, with 31% of passengers aged 0-29, 49% aged 30-59 and 20% aged over 60. The average age is 42. Our great cruise packages keep passengers coming back year after year. Over 40 per cent of people who sail with us have experienced an unforgettable holiday with us before.

P&O Cruises is part of Carnival Corporation & PLC. As the largest vacation group in the world, we currently represent ten distinctive brands operating worldwide. These include Carnival Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, P&O Cruises World Cruising, Holland America Line, Seabourn, Costa Cruises, Cunard, Fathom, AIDA Cruises and P&O Cruises Australia.
